Description:
We are seeking an experienced Temenos Journey Manager Developer / Integration Engineer with strong expertise in digital onboarding platforms, backend service development, API integrations, and enterprise banking application delivery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Temenos Journey Manager (formerly Avoka), Java/Groovy development, REST integrations, CI/CD practices, and production support in enterprise financial services environments.
This role will focus on developing, enhancing, and supporting digital onboarding journeys, backend services, integrations, monitoring frameworks, and release management activities within a regulated banking ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Temenos Journey Manager Development
- Develop, configure, and enhance applications on the Temenos Journey Manager (DAO platform).
- Build onboarding workflows, form orchestration, service integrations, and reusable platform components.
- Support packaging, deployment, environment promotion, and lifecycle management activities.
- Design scalable application structures aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Backend Development & Integration
- Develop backend services, business rules, and integration logic using:
- Java
- Groovy
- Temenos Journey SDK
- Platform service frameworks
- Create and maintain REST-based integrations with internal and external enterprise platforms.
- Work with:
- REST APIs
- JSON payloads
- XML messaging
- Web services
- Secure enterprise connectivity patterns
- Support integration design using Temenos Integration Framework (TIF).
Solution Architecture Support
- Contribute to technical design for digital onboarding journeys including:
- Application architecture
- Service definitions
- API integration models
- Data flows
- Reusable service frameworks
- Ensure engineering solutions align with enterprise governance and architecture standards.
Monitoring, Reliability & Operational Support
- Design and implement application reliability and observability practices.
- Build monitoring frameworks for:
- Transaction processing
- Service diagnostics
- Error handling
- Performance metrics
- Application logging
- Troubleshoot production incidents and improve operational stability.
Testing & Quality Engineering
- Develop and execute:
- Unit tests
- Integration tests
- End-to-end workflow validation
- Support defect investigation, debugging, and resolution.
- Maintain code quality and engineering best practices.
CI/CD & Release Management
- Support source control and release engineering using:
- Azure DevOps
- Git
- CI/CD pipelines
- Manage code deployments across:
- Development
- QA
- Production
- Support release coordination and environment governance.
Documentation & Compliance
- Create and maintain technical documentation including:
- Configuration guides
- Deployment procedures
- Support runbooks
- Integration mappings
- Operational documentation
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, governance controls, and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work across multiple concurrent initiatives with product, engineering, QA, and operations teams.
- Participate in technical reviews, delivery planning, governance checkpoints, and architecture discussions.
- Support leadership and mentoring responsibilities where required.
