Title: Node.js Tech Lead

Location: Dallas, TX (Local Candidates Only)

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Tech Lead / Architect to design, build, and lead the development of highly scalable serverless applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Node.js, AWS Lambda, and microservices architecture, along with strong leadership and architectural decision-making skills.

This role requires hands-on development, solution design, performance optimization, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, cost-effective cloud-native solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Node.js-based serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven systems using:
• API Gateway
• DynamoDB
• SQS, SNS
• EventBridge
• Design and maintain microservices architectures ensuring scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Optimize AWS Lambda performance by:
• Reducing cold starts
• Managing concurrency
• Implementing cost optimization strategies
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance to development teams.
• Implement best practices for asynchronous programming using Promises and async/await.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Ensure security, observability, and resiliency of serverless applications.
• Document architecture, design decisions, and development standards.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Node.js / JavaScript (TypeScript strongly preferred)
• Strong expertise in AWS Lambda and serverless architecture
• Hands-on experience with:
• AWS API Gateway
• DynamoDB
• SQS, SNS
• EventBridge
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming patterns
• Experience building and managing microservices in cloud environments
• Knowledge of serverless frameworks (e.g., Serverless Framework, AWS SAM, CDK)
• Strong understanding of cloud-native design principles
