Title: Network SME Engineer – CCIE Lab Certified

Location: Alpharetta, GA

 

Active CCIE Lab Certification is mandatory (Candidates without an active CCIE Lab cert will be rejected)

 

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Network SME Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise, data center, campus, and cloud networking. The ideal candidate will possess an active CCIE Lab Certification and have extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and migrating complex IPv4/IPv6 network environments.

This role requires strong technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to design scalable and resilient network solutions across Campus, Data Center, and Cloud infrastructures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale network solutions across Campus, Data Center, and Cloud environments using IPv4 and IPv6.
• Act as a Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) for routing, switching, multicast, overlays, and cloud connectivity.
• Lead and support complex network migrations, upgrades, and transformations.
• Troubleshoot advanced routing and switching issues, including BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, and Multicast.
• Design and validate communication flows between end devices, edge devices, and IoT sensors.
• Create, execute, and oversee testing strategies for data gathering, aggregation, and analytics network capabilities.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for network connectivity, performance, and stability issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-availability network designs.
• Document network designs, architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.

 

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

• Active CCIE Lab Certification (Routing & Switching or Service Provider) – Required
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking environments
• Strong expertise in Routing & Switching
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols:
• BGP, OSPF
• Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
• Multicast
• Extensive experience with Cisco and Arista network platforms
• Hands-on experience with IP routing platforms:
• Cisco ISR, ASR1K, ASR9K
• Catalyst 9K
• Nexus 9K
• Strong experience in IPv4 and IPv6 design and troubleshooting
• Deep understanding of multicast technologies:
• IGMP v2/v3
• PIM
• Static RP
• RP Anycast
• Experience with overlay technologies:
• IPsec
• DMVPN
• VXLAN
• Strong knowledge of cabling and optics:
• 10G / 25G / 40G / 50G / 100G
• Breakout cables and breakout panels
