Role: DevOps Engineer
Location : Dearborn, MI 48124, USA (Hybrid – 4 Days On-Site, 1 Day Remote)
Duration: 12+ months
Experience Required:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and configuration management
- 3+ years of cloud-native security and infrastructure automation experience in GCP or similar cloud platforms
- Experience working with centralized or distributed configuration management tools (ClearCase, SVN, or equivalent)
- Understanding of embedded software development environments and mainframe configuration tooling touchpoints
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Kubernetes workload deployment and administration
- Docker containerization and orchestration
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Ansible for configuration automation
- Jenkins administration and pipeline automation
- GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows
- Python scripting for automation and reliability tasks
Good-to-Have Skills:
- ClearCase or SVN tool usage and scripting
- Bash, CLIST, REXX, or JCL scripting exposure
- JFrog Artifactory or similar enterprise artifact repositories
- Jira or similar Agile delivery governance tools
- Experience troubleshooting logs, system latency, configuration failures, and pipeline issues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes workloads in hybrid cloud environments
- Build and maintain containerized systems using Docker
- Design and maintain infrastructure provisioning automation using Terraform and Ansible
- Administer and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Support configuration management operations using ClearCase, SVN, or equivalent SCM tools
- Troubleshoot deployment failures, security misconfigurations, latency, and system reliability issues using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, or equivalent logging tools
- Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable automation solutions
- Maintain documentation for DevOps standards, SCM operations, CI/CD workflows, disaster recovery inputs, and release reliability checklists
- Work independently to ensure deployment success, system reliability, security posture, and operational efficiency
- Support system upgrades, environment modernization, patch validation, and release readiness
