Description:
We are seeking a seasoned QA Lead / Quality Assurance Program Manager to drive enterprise-scale quality strategy and execution across multiple Consumer Banking programs. This role combines QA program governance, automation architecture leadership, release oversight, vendor coordination, and deep BFSI domain expertise, with strong exposure to Fiserv core banking platforms (DNA, Signature, payments, digital banking, etc.).
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth (Java, SQL, API testing) along with executive-level stakeholder management and regulatory awareness.
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Program Leadership & Quality Strategy
- Own end-to-end QA program planning, budgeting, resourcing, and risk management across multiple workstreams.
- Establish enterprise-wide test strategies covering:
- Functional
- Integration
- End-to-End (E2E)
- UAT
- Non-Functional (NFR)
- Align quality initiatives to regulatory milestones:
- FFIEC
- GLBA
- SOX
- PCI DSS
- Drive continuous improvement via:
- Shift-left / shift-right testing
- Root-cause analysis
- Defect prevention
- Test data strategies
- Release readiness frameworks
2️⃣ Automation Architecture & Engineering Excellence
- Architect and scale automation frameworks across:
- UI
- API
- Services
- Database layers
- Tools & Technologies:
- Selenium / WebDriver
- Cypress / Playwright
- RestAssured / Postman
- JUnit / TestNG
- Cucumber (BDD)
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines:
- Azure DevOps
- Jenkins
- GitLab
- Implement quality gates, dashboards, and reporting (Allure, Extent, ReportPortal).
- Drive:
- Data-driven testing
- Synthetic data generation
- Service virtualization
- Environment reliability strategies
3️⃣ Banking Products & Fiserv Delivery
- Lead QA planning and integration testing for:
- Fiserv Core Banking (DNA / Signature / Premier)
- ACH & payment platforms (PEP+ or similar)
- Card & digital banking solutions
- Oversee:
- Migrations & system conversions
- Feature upgrades
- Release validation
- Coordinate with Fiserv and vendor teams for:
- Release notes review
- Defect triage
- Hotfix validation
- Ensure traceability from regulatory requirements to test artifacts.
4️⃣ Release Governance & Production Quality
- Govern release cycles, change windows, and go/no-go decisions.
- Manage rollback plans and defect SLAs.
- Oversee production quality including:
- Incident RCA
- Problem management
- Data validation
- Hands-on troubleshooting
5️⃣ Compliance, Risk & Audit
- Maintain auditable test artifacts and documentation.
- Support internal/external audits and model validations.
- Enforce secure testing practices:
- Data masking
- Secure configurations
- Static & dynamic testing inputs
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years in Software Quality Engineering.
- 5+ years leading multi-team QA programs in BFSI.
- Strong experience with:
- Automation framework design & implementation
- Java coding
- SQL & database validation
- API testing & debugging
- Strong banking domain experience with Fiserv ecosystem.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines & test observability tools.
- Demonstrated production support exposure.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
