Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SecDesign Security Engineer responsible for assessing and strengthening the security posture of enterprise technology ecosystems. This role focuses on conducting in depth security architecture assessments, identifying risks, and providing actionable recommendations aligned with industry standards and best practices.
The ideal candidate will act as an internal consultant, collaborating with business and technology teams to evaluate diverse technology stacks while driving secure architecture decisions and modernizing SDLC and deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead security architecture assessments and conduct deep dive sessions with stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks aligned with business impact.
Provide actionable security recommendations across authentication, authorization, auditing, and application security.
Evaluate secure data storage, transmission, and network security architectures.
Assess and guide cloud security principles, patterns, and controls.
Review and update security reference architectures and blueprints.
Participate in operational and technology risk governance forums.
Contribute to defining modern architecture patterns across cloud, application, and platform domains.
Collaborate with global teams to enhance SDLC tooling and deployment automation strategies.
Support modernization initiatives across private and public cloud environments and SaaS platforms.
Influence secure development and deployment practices across enterprise systems.
Analyze architecture designs, diagrams, and technical requirements for security implications.
Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment on security risks and mitigation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
10+ years of experience in security architecture, information security, or IT security assessments.
Experience conducting security architecture reviews and risk assessments in enterprise environments.
Experience working with cloud, application, and platform security frameworks.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in application, network, platform, and cloud security.
Experience with authentication, authorization, auditing, and secure coding practices.
Knowledge of application security concepts including input validation, session management, and penetration testing.
Experience with secure data storage and transmission techniques.
Strong understanding of network security architecture and best practices.
Experience with cloud security principles and controls across public and private cloud environments.
Ability to analyze technical designs, architecture diagrams, and system requirements for security risks.
Experience supporting SDLC processes and secure deployment automation strategies.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
Ability to communicate complex technical risks in business terms.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in financial services or enterprise environments with strict security requirements.
