Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITSM Developer with strong expertise in implementing and customizing ITSM modules and developing scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on configuring core ITSM processes, building integrations, and delivering high quality enterprise solutions aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in ServiceNow development, strong scripting skills, and the ability to work in Agile environments while collaborating with cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
Configure ServiceNow applications in alignment with approved architecture and design standards.
Develop custom applications, workflows, and UI components to meet business requirements.
Create and manage Service Catalog items, record producers, and request forms.
Develop integrations with external systems using APIs, web services, and data import or export processes.
Configure Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Access Control Lists.
Develop and manage workflows, SLAs, import sets, and update sets.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
Enhance user interface and develop custom widgets for improved user experience.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Provide training and support to business users on ServiceNow functionalities.
Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, coding standards, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
8–10 years of experience in ServiceNow development and ITSM implementations.
Experience implementing ServiceNow ITSM modules and custom applications.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog.
Experience in ServiceNow scripting using JavaScript and related technologies.
Experience with Jelly, XML, HTML, and CSS.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Knowledge of SQL queries and LDAP integrations.
Experience with workflows, SLAs, import sets, and update sets.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and best practices.
Knowledge of SDLC processes and testing methodologies.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist certification.
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and industry standards.
Experience working with ITOM modules and advanced ServiceNow capabilities.
