Role Overview
We are seeking a Guidewire PolicyCenter SME with strong expertise in the Property and Casualty insurance domain. The role focuses on driving PolicyCenter implementations, managing data migration strategies, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and system configuration across the full policy lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter, strong stakeholder management skills, and experience working in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the domain expert for Guidewire PolicyCenter across the full policy lifecycle including submission, quote, bind, issue, endorsement, renewal, cancellation, and rewrite.
Review functional and technical design artifacts including BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Define in scope and out of scope data aligned with PolicyCenter implementation.
Develop strategies for historical and active policy data migration including lookback periods.
Lead data migration governance from a functional perspective.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data retention, archival, and compliance requirements.
Own source to target data mapping for PolicyCenter entities.
Analyze legacy systems and data structures for migration and transformation.
Ensure traceability from requirements through configuration and testing.
Support release planning, cutover activities, and go live readiness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
8–10 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
Strong experience in Property and Casualty insurance domain including Auto, Home, and Umbrella lines of business.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Experience with data migration, data mapping, and policy data modeling.
Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with tools such as Rally or similar Agile tools.
Strong understanding of insurance business processes and policy lifecycle.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and decision making abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading large scale PolicyCenter implementations.
Experience with data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements in insurance.
Experience supporting release management and production deployments.
