POSITION: Healthcare Integration Specialist
LOCATION: Remote
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, EMR implementation, or health IT.
• Hands-on experience working with Epic and/or Cerner in an integration, informatics, or implementation capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of HL7 messaging and healthcare interoperability concepts.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle and utilization management workflows, including how clinical and financial data is used downstream.
• Experience working with hospital IT, interface teams, or clinical informatics groups.
Integration & Implementation
- Lead end-to-end implementation of hospital data integrations, from technical discovery through go‑live and post‑implementation support.
- Design, configure, and validate HL7-based data feeds (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, or related message types), FHIR, and other data exchange methods (flat files, APIs, SFTP).
- Coordinate integration activities with hospital IT, EMR analysts, interface teams, and security stakeholders.
- Support integrations with Epic and Cerner, including data extraction, workflow alignment, and validation of inbound clinical and financial data.
- Ensure data is accurately ingested into the enterprise data warehouse to support physician advisory, utilization management, and revenue cycle workflows.
Data Quality & Operations
- Monitor data quality, timeliness, and completeness post‑go‑live; troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
- Perform testing and validation to ensure clinical, utilization, and revenue cycle data aligns with expected workflows and downstream analytics.
- Maintain documentation for integration specifications, mappings, workflows, and operational support procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between hospital partners, internal product, business development, analytics, and clinical operations teams.
- Translate clinical, utilization management, and revenue cycle requirements into technical integration specifications.
- Provide input into product and integration roadmap improvements based on implementation learnings and client feedback.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure integrations comply with HIPAA and healthcare data security standards.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to support hospital security reviews and implementation requirements.
