Job Title: Telecom Network Engineer (Python/ML | 5G Wireless Networks)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Network Engineer with Python and Machine Learning expertise to analyze large-scale wireless network data and develop intelligent solutions for fault detection, prediction, and network optimization across 5G and multi-generation wireless networks.
The ideal candidate will combine telecom domain expertise (RAN/Core) with data science and automation skills to improve network reliability, reduce incidents, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale wireless network alarm data across RAN, Core, and IEN domains from OSS/NMS/EMS systems
- Identify patterns, trends, and recurring fault signatures across network domains
- Develop and track KPIs for network health, availability, and reliability
- Build machine learning models for:
- Alarm correlation
- Noise reduction & false-positive suppression
- Anomaly detection and predictive failure forecasting
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and proactive fault identification
- Apply supervised and unsupervised ML techniques (clustering, classification, time-series analysis)
- Clean, preprocess, and integrate data from multiple systems:
- OSS, EMS, NMS, CMDB, performance platforms
- Automate data pipelines and analytics workflows
- Work with big data technologies:
- Spark, Hadoop, streaming platforms
- Design and maintain real-time dashboards and reports
- Visualize insights using:
- Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, or Python libraries
- Collaborate with NOC, Network Engineering, and Operations teams
- Translate analytics into actionable recommendations for:
- Incident prevention
- MTTR reduction
- Deliver documentation, dashboards, and model performance reports
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Telecom Networking (2G/3G/4G/5G)
- Deep understanding of:
- RAN (Radio Access Network)
- Core Network
- IEN, IP, Ethernet networking
- Hands-on experience with:
- OSS, NMS, EMS platforms
- Network alarms and fault management processes
- Strong programming skills:
- Python and/or R
- Experience with ML libraries:
- Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PySpark
- Proficiency in:
- SQL and data querying
- Experience with big data tools:
- Spark, Hadoop
- Strong understanding of:
- SLA, MTTR, availability, service performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time data streaming platforms
- Familiarity with Grafana / Tableau / Power BI
- Experience in predictive analytics and anomaly detection models
- Exposure to cloud or distributed data environments
