Regulatory Reporting Analyst (Capital Management / Risk Reporting)

Location: Stamford, CT / Remote
Duration: 12+ Months

Position Overview

We are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst with strong experience in Capital Management and Regulatory Reporting within top-tier financial institutions (CAT-2 / CAT-3 organizations).

The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance by performing data analysis, reconciliations, reporting validations, and enhancing governance frameworks across financial and risk reporting functions.


Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting & Compliance

  • Support preparation and submission of regulatory reports including:

    • FR Y-15 (European Risk Assets & US Risk Assets)

    • 2052A / 6G liquidity and risk reporting

  • Perform reconciliations between regulatory reports and underlying general ledger data.

  • Monitor regulatory thresholds and ensure compliance readiness.

  • Support statutory and regulatory reporting to relevant authorities.


Capital Management & FP&A Reporting

  • Contribute to Capital Management reporting processes.

  • Support manual FP&A regulatory reporting processes.

  • Perform trend analysis and detailed data validations.

  • Strengthen operational quality standards for reporting accuracy.


Data Governance & Control Framework

  • Evaluate and enhance data governance practices.

  • Develop and maintain robust internal control frameworks.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and regulatory risks.

  • Ensure safeguards against misreporting and strengthen compliance posture.


Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with:

    • Finance

    • Risk

    • Treasury

    • Front Office teams

  • Aggregate and validate financial data across departments.

  • Provide insights and reporting support to senior leadership.


Financial Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support financial system selection, implementation, and integration efforts.

  • Work with IT teams to enhance financial data systems.

  • Develop and implement updated financial policies and procedures.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in Regulatory Reporting / Capital Management.

  • Experience in top-tier financial institutions (CAT-2 / CAT-3 preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • FR Y-15 reporting

    • 2052A / 6G regulatory reporting

  • Experience with:

    • Data reconciliation

    • Regulatory threshold monitoring

    • Financial controls & governance

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Axiom reporting platform.

  • Exposure to MUFG reporting environments.

  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) platforms.

  • Experience strengthening regulatory reporting governance frameworks.
