Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Documentum Lead Developer responsible for the analysis, design, development, and deployment of enterprise software applications on the EMC Documentum platform. The role involves collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Documentum development, Java based web services, and modern application architecture. This position will also contribute to product design, technology research, and modernization initiatives such as event driven architecture and cloud ready application development.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and application solutions.
Design, develop, and deploy software applications on the EMC Documentum platform.
Execute product specifications, system design, development, and system integration.
Develop new product concepts, prototypes, and innovative software solutions.
Conduct research on emerging technologies and design individual software components.
Collaborate with product teams and participate in program level development initiatives.
Refactor implementations to standardize on an event driven architecture.
Refactor web applications and services to be stateless and cloud ready.
Coordinate with offshore teams and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Take full ownership of deliverables and ensure alignment with customer release processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
6–8 years of experience in enterprise software development.
8+ years of experience in Documentum development.
2+ years of experience configuring Documentum D2.
8+ years of experience in Java 1.8 or higher development.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with EMC Documentum platform development.
Hands on experience with Java REST web services, Core Java, and Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of object oriented programming principles.
Experience with web service models including SOAP, OData, and REST.
Strong knowledge of Git version control and Apache Maven.
Experience working with backend databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery.
Experience with third party JavaScript libraries such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, jQueryUI, or similar frameworks.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Capability to work in a fast paced environment and coordinate with distributed teams.
Strong ownership mindset with focus on delivering high quality solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with tools such as TFS and Git.
Experience working in enterprise release management and deployment processes.
Exposure to cloud ready architectures and modern application development practices.
