Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle JDE World Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Supply Chain Management and Sales Order Management. The role focuses on ensuring stability, support, and optimization of JDE World applications running on IBM i and AS400 environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical knowledge of JDE World modules, strong experience in production support, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues while maintaining system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day to day stability of JDE World applications in production environments.
Monitor production alerts, batch jobs, and system interfaces and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Provide on call support including incident management, impact analysis, and customer communication.
Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and implement permanent fixes and preventive measures.
Support system maintenance activities, deployments, and ensure post deployment validation.
Maintain operational runbooks, escalation procedures, and support documentation.
Coordinate with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams to resolve issues.
Generate operational reports and dashboards including incident trends and SLA metrics.
Support production backlog and participate in Agile or Scrum processes.
Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
10+ years of experience working with Oracle JDE World applications.
Experience supporting JDE WorldSoft A7.3 or later versions.
Experience in production support and enterprise application environments.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in JDE World modules including Sales Order Management and Supply Chain.
Knowledge of JDE components such as SVR, DW, VO, PO, UDC, DD, WW, RDA, FDA, and SDA.
Experience with IBM i and AS400 platforms including DB2/400 and SQL/400.
Strong development and troubleshooting skills using CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, and RPG.
Experience with tools such as ALDON, HAWKEYE, DBU, UCT, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
Experience supporting batch jobs, job streams, and system integrations.
Ability to analyze logs, spool files, and system messages for issue resolution.
Familiarity with API and interface validation tools such as Postman or SOAP UI.
Soft Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work in high pressure production support environments.
Strong documentation and process oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with JDE modules such as WMS, SnD, and Finance.
Experience with warehouse management systems or PKMS.
Familiarity with ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management.
Experience contributing to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
