Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Quality Engineer (QE) with strong experience in test automation, cloud technologies (GCP), and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in UI, API, and integration testing, along with strong coding skills in Java or Python.

This role requires hands-on experience in automation frameworks, cloud-based testing, and continuous delivery environments, ensuring high-quality releases with strong test coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI and API testing
• Create scalable and reusable test automation scripts using:
• Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Bruno
• Develop and execute acceptance, integration, and regression test suites
• Ensure high-quality deliverables with 80%+ code coverage

UI, API & Mobile Testing

• Perform UI automation testing using Selenium and BrowserStack
• Develop and execute API tests using REST/SOAP (Rest Assured, Karate)
• Support mobile automation testing using Appium (if required)
• Validate microservices and backend systems

---

Cloud & Platform (GCP)

• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for test execution and environment setup
• Validate cloud-based applications and distributed systems
• Ensure scalability and performance in cloud environments

---

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bamboo)
• Work with code quality and coverage tools:
• SonarQube, Clover
• Implement continuous testing strategies aligned with Continuous Delivery (CD)

---

TDD/BDD & Development Practices

• Work in TDD/BDD environments using:
• JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, JBehave
• Collaborate with development teams using Java & Spring-based applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable automation code

---

Security & Code Quality

• Use tools like:
• SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fortify
• Ensure code quality, vulnerability scanning, and compliance standards

---

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality engineering practices

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 10+ years in Software Testing / Automation QE
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Bruno, BrowserStack
• Programming skills:
• Java (must) / Python
• Strong experience in:
• TestNG, JUnit
• REST/SOAP APIs, Rest Assured
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo)
• Experience with:
• Code coverage tools (SonarQube, Clover)
• Security tools (Checkmarx, Fortify)
