Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ignition Architect to design and implement scalable Ignition SCADA solutions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, integrating, and optimizing control systems while ensuring seamless connectivity between plant-floor machines and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess data integration readiness and define machine connectivity strategies with Ignition
• Design and architect Ignition SCADA systems, including:
  • Databases and database interfaces
  • Tag Providers
  • Ignition Edge / Enterprise setups
  • Ignition Foundation drivers
• Analyze project requirements and implement appropriate Ignition or authorized third-party modules for manufacturing use cases
• Develop solutions involving:
  • Data analytics & reporting
  • Scripting (Python, VB, etc.)
  • General programming
• Integrate PLC systems and enable seamless IT/OT connectivity
• Collaborate with clients for:
  • Requirement gathering
  • Enhancements
  • Ongoing support
• Lead and coordinate with offshore engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ignition Gold Certification (Mandatory)
• Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Architecting and designing Ignition SCADA systems
  • PLC integration and control system design
  • IT/OT integration technologies
• Expertise in:
  • Ignition platform (Edge, Enterprise, Tag Providers, drivers)
  • Python scripting for Ignition
• Strong understanding of:
  • Plant and machine KPIs
  • Visualization within Ignition dashboards
• Ability to evaluate and recommend optimal Ignition architecture solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience with:
  • SCADA systems
  • HMI technologies
  • Sepasoft modules
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing domain processes
• Project management experience
