Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester with strong expertise in JMeter and API performance testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing performance testing strategies, validating system performance, and ensuring application scalability and reliability. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to present performance insights to leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for enterprise applications
- Perform load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing using tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner
- Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for optimization
- Validate and certify API performance testing using tools like SoapUI and Postman
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define performance benchmarks
- Lead performance testing efforts for P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance applications
- Present performance testing results and insights to business stakeholders and executives
- Build and implement performance test strategies for applications (e.g., Talon platform)
- Mentor and guide QE/testing teams on performance testing tools and best practices
- Work on Non-Functional Testing (NFT) including performance, scalability, and reliability
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues
- Develop reusable scripts and frameworks for performance testing
- Utilize additional tools and technologies such as:
- JMeter, LoadRunner, Performance Center
- Taurus, Lighthouse
- SoapUI, Postman (API Testing)
- (Good to Have) Perform Mainframe CICS performance/stress testing
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in Performance Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter
- Experience with LoadRunner and Performance Center
- Solid knowledge of API performance testing (SoapUI, Postman)
- Experience in Non-Functional Testing (NFT)
- Ability to design and execute performance test strategies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Taurus and Lighthouse tools
- Exposure to P&C Insurance domain
- Knowledge of Mainframe CICS regions performance testing
- Experience leading teams or mentoring QA engineers
