Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Release Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver software releases across multiple environments in a structured and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality, low-risk releases while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders. This role is critical in maintaining release governance, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the release lifecycle, particularly within MuleSoft integration environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage end-to-end release cycles across development, testing, staging, and production environments
- Own and maintain the release calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities and avoiding conflicts
- Coordinate with DevOps, Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Client stakeholders for smooth release execution
- Ensure all release artifacts (builds, release notes, deployment plans, rollback strategies) are complete and approved
- Enforce release governance, change management, and compliance standards (ITIL aligned)
- Identify and mitigate release risks, manage dependencies, and resolve cross-team conflicts
- Lead release planning, readiness meetings, and status reporting to stakeholders
- Support incident management related to releases and lead post-deployment analysis and resolution
- Drive continuous improvement in release processes, automation, and tooling
- Maintain documentation including runbooks, release procedures, and deployment standards
- Manage multiple concurrent releases in a fast-paced Agile environment
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in Release Management, DevOps, or Software Delivery
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release orchestration
- Proficiency in Git, GitLab, or similar version control tools
- Experience with change management frameworks (ITIL)
- Strong experience managing JIRA stories, workflows, and release tracking
- Knowledge of scripting/automation (Shell, Python, etc.)
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MuleSoft platform and integration environments
- Understanding of API-led connectivity architecture:
- Experience APIs
- Process APIs
- System APIs
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as SOAPUI and Postman
- Experience with test automation and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of JIRA automation and workflow optimization
