Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and govern end-to-end infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS and cloud platforms, along with strong hands-on experience in systems administration, virtualization, automation, and enterprise infrastructure architecture.
This role involves leading large-scale infrastructure initiatives, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability, while driving automation, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure architectures across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
- Architect and manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring
- Lead virtualization strategies using VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Nutanix platforms
- Manage and optimize Windows Server, RHEL, and Oracle Linux environments
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Ensure infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity planning aligned with business requirements
- Design and enforce security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Provide L3/L4 production support, lead root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive solutions
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
- Support Citrix environments and GitHub-based workflows
- Define and maintain architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
- Create and maintain architecture documentation (HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, SOPs)
- Lead cloud transformation, migration, and modernization initiatives
- Manage vendors and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Mentor engineering teams and support technical decision-making and strategy
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture / Engineering
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Computing (primary focus)
- Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, RHEL Linux, and Oracle Linux
- Proven experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Nutanix
- Strong experience in hybrid and multi-cloud architecture design
- Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, DevOps tools, GitHub, and Citrix
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancing)
- Strong knowledge of security, IAM, encryption, vulnerability management
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and automation tools
- Strong experience in incident management, RCA, and change management processes
Must-Have Skills
- Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure architectures
- Strong systems administration experience (Windows, RHEL, Oracle Linux)
- Advanced virtualization expertise (VMware, Nutanix)
- Deep knowledge of multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong experience in automation (Terraform, Ansible, DevOps)
- Expertise in L3/L4 support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and DR strategies
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, or Nutanix
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies
- Experience in data center migration, cloud transformation, or modernization programs
- Knowledge of ITIL, SRE, and advanced observability tools
- Experience in MSP or large enterprise environments (24x7 operations)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
