Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal AgentOps Engineer with deep expertise in Agentic Systems, AI Agents, and distributed platforms. This role will drive architecture, design, and development of next-generation AgentOps platforms, integrating graph-based knowledge systems and cloud-native infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Principal-Level Technical Ownership
- Act as the technical owner and architect for AgentOps and platform components.
- Drive architecture decisions across scalability, performance, resilience, and security.
- Evaluate trade-offs and make high-impact design decisions independently.
- Align platform design with long-term enterprise AI/Agent strategy.
AgentOps & Agentic Systems Engineering
- Design and implement agent orchestration frameworks and workflows.
- Develop agent lifecycle management, including planning, execution, and coordination.
- Extend agent frameworks with capabilities such as memory, tool usage, and decision logic.
- Build guardrails for reliability, observability, and safe execution of AI agents.
- Optimize runtime performance and scalability of agent systems.
Graph Database Engineering
- Design and implement solutions using graph databases such as:
- Neo4j
- Amazon Neptune
- TigerGraph
- JanusGraph
- Perform graph data modeling and query optimization.
- Integrate graph-based knowledge systems with agentic platforms and services.
Backend & Platform Engineering
- Develop production-grade backend systems using Python.
- Design and implement APIs and platform services.
- Build internal tools and enhance platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
Cloud & DevOps (AWS)
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, including:
- EKS, ECS, Lambda, EC2
- S3, DynamoDB, RDS, OpenSearch, IAM
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation, and developer tooling.
- Implement observability solutions including logging, metrics, and tracing.
Distributed Systems & Performance
- Design and optimize large-scale distributed systems.
- Improve scalability, performance tuning, and system resilience.
- Ensure operational stability at scale.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Produce architecture documents, runbooks, and design artifacts.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in backend engineering and distributed systems
- Strong expertise in AgentOps / Agentic Systems / AI Agents (mandatory)
- Deep knowledge of agent orchestration, planning, and execution frameworks
- Hands-on experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune, TigerGraph, or JanusGraph)
- Expert-level Python development
- Strong experience with AWS cloud architecture and services
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and observability tools
- Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems
