Job Title: Mainframe Automation Tester
Location: San Antonio, TX (100% Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Automation Tester with strong hands-on expertise in mainframe testing and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have solid experience working with DB2, functional testing, and automation tools, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Must-Have Requirements (Critical for Screening):
- 8+ years of Mainframe Testing experience (mandatory)
- 4+ years of Automation Testing experience (mandatory)
- Strong hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2)
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks (Selenium / UFT / TOSCA / custom frameworks)
- Strong expertise in functional and integration testing
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for mainframe applications.
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Work with DB2 databases for data validation and backend testing.
- Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements.
- Identify defects, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and testing lifecycle activities.
- Support production validation and post-deployment testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Mainframe Testing (COBOL, JCL, DB2)
- Hands-on experience in test automation tools/frameworks
- Strong knowledge of SQL / DB2 queries
- Experience in ERP / CRM testing environments (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Java-based automation frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git)
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with DevOps practices
