JOB DESCRIPTION:

Client is seeking an experienced SQL Developer with strong expertise in handling large datasets, building complex queries, and delivering business-critical insights through reporting and analytics. This role requires deep technical SQL skills combined with the ability to translate data into meaningful metrics and reports.

Key Responsibilities
SQL Development & Data Engineering
· Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server
· Build and maintain stored procedures, views, and database objects
· Integrate and extract data from multiple databases and sources
· Apply best practices for query performance and database design
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Analyze large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights
· Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics for business stakeholders
· Work with BI tools to present data in a meaningful and structured format
Data Handling & Optimization
· Work with high-volume data across multiple datasets and systems
· Implement efficient joins, aggregations, and transformations
· Optimize performance for large-scale data processing
Collaboration & Communication
· Partner with cross-functional teams, business users, and leadership
· Translate business requirements into technical data solutions
· Communicate findings and insights clearly to stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
· 8+ years of experience as a SQL Developer
· Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (design, development, integration)
· Strong experience working with large and complex datasets
· Deep understanding of:
o Stored Procedures
o Views vs Tables usage
o Joins and multi-database querying
· Experience analyzing data and building reports/metrics
BI & Reporting
· Hands-on experience with BI/reporting tools such as:
o Qlik (preferred)
o Tableau
o Business Objects (BO)
o SSRS
Soft Skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to work across multiple teams and leadership levels
