Role: QA Automation Lead

Location: Oakland, CA – Onsite / Remote

Duration: 12+ Months

 

Description:

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in modern test automation frameworks and .NET based testing environments. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of automated testing solutions while working closely with development teams to ensure high quality software delivery. This role requires deep experience with automation frameworks, unit testing practices, and CI/CD integrated testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Framework Development
   Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using modern testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
2. Automated Test Development
   Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate application functionality, performance, and stability.
3. Test Strategy Implementation
   Define automation strategies and best practices to improve testing coverage and efficiency across development teams.
4. .NET Based Automation
   Develop automation solutions using .NET technologies and C# to support enterprise application testing.
5. Unit Testing Frameworks
   Implement and maintain unit test frameworks using tools such as NUnit, XUnit, and MSTest.
6. CI/CD Integration
   Integrate automated testing workflows within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other DevOps platforms.
7. Quality Assurance Leadership
   Lead QA automation initiatives, mentor team members, and ensure adoption of automation best practices across the QA organization.
8. Collaboration with Development Teams
   Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure effective testing strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
9. Test Execution and Reporting
   Monitor test execution results, track defects, and provide reporting on test coverage and quality metrics.

Required Skills

1. Minimum 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation roles.
2. Strong experience with automation frameworks including Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
3. Strong experience with .NET technologies and automation development using C#.
4. Experience working with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit, XUnit, and MSTest.
5. Experience working with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD automation.
6. Experience working with ASP.NET based applications including ASP.NET 4.5 environments.
7. Strong knowledge of automated testing strategies and test framework design.
8. Strong leadership and communication skills.

Experience Required

1. Minimum 10+ years of experience in QA automation engineering or QA leadership roles.
2. Proven experience implementing enterprise scale automation testing frameworks using Selenium and .NET technologies.
