Role: Resilie SAP Basis Administrator (Oracle Background)
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: 12+ Months
Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with a strong Oracle background to manage and support SAP landscapes, including S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in system administration, SLT replication, performance tuning, and high availability solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage SAP landscape ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of all systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP environments, configurations, and procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for installation, maintenance, and upgrades of SAP systems.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and installations to ensure security and compliance.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, web services, and overall SAP system performance.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements for system scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and external service providers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
SAP SLT & Data Replication Responsibilities:
- Design and build security roles for SAP HANA systems.
- Implement and support SAP SLT systems on Oracle and S/4HANA (Data Hub), including table replication setup.
- Configure and manage 1:1 and 1:N replication scenarios using SAP SLT.
- Perform real-time data replication from SAP ECC/S/4HANA to SAP HANA for reporting and analytics.
- Execute initial load and real-time replication of large datasets with minimal performance impact.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SLT replication processes and proactively analyze dumps/logs.
- Configure alerts for SLT replication failures and system exceptions.
- Optimize SLT performance across different network and system configurations.
- Migrate SLT systems from Oracle-based landscapes to S/4HANA Data Hub with optimized strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in SAP Basis Administration in large enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Suite and S/4HANA.
- Strong Oracle database expertise (mandatory).
- At least 2+ years of SAP HANA database monitoring and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in 3–4 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, system refreshes, and backup mechanisms.
- Strong experience in system performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across global teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SAP Data Hub / modern data integration tools
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Automation and scripting knowledge
