Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst / Data Security Consultant with 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity, data governance, information risk, and data security controls. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, data lifecycle management, and cybersecurity frameworks, with the ability to support enterprise data protection strategies, risk mitigation, and compliance initiatives.
This role requires a strong understanding of data security governance, DLP technologies, regulatory controls, and information protection best practices to help safeguard sensitive information across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and policies across enterprise environments.
- Administer and support Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions for monitoring, protecting, and preventing unauthorized data exposure.
- Support data classification, data discovery, labeling, and data lifecycle management initiatives.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to DLP alerts, incidents, and data security events.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and business teams to implement data protection controls and security policies.
- Support development and enforcement of data governance standards and information protection strategies.
- Perform risk assessments related to sensitive data handling, data movement, and information security controls.
- Ensure alignment with NIST, ISO 27001, and related cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
- Support policy tuning, rule optimization, and continuous improvement of DLP controls.
- Assist with data protection reviews, security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
- Support investigation and remediation of data security incidents, policy violations, and control gaps.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to strengthen data protection, reduce risk, and improve compliance posture.
- Prepare and maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and control evidence.
- Support awareness and guidance related to secure data handling and information protection best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Cybersecurity, Data Governance, and Information Risk
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Experience with data classification, data lifecycle management, and information protection controls
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience with data security monitoring, risk assessments, and incident response
- Strong understanding of data protection policies, controls, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise DLP tools and data security platforms
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in evolving environments
- Experience supporting regulatory or compliance-driven data security programs
