Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Data Center Consultant with deep expertise in enterprise data center architecture, core routing and switching, SD-WAN, network security, and large-scale global network environments.
The ideal candidate will possess CCIE-level knowledge (or equivalent experience) and have a strong background in designing, implementing, and supporting complex LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructures across large global enterprises.
Core Technical Expertise
Data Center & Core Networking
- Extensive experience with data center core and edge routing/switching platforms:
- Cisco (Nexus)
- Juniper
- Arista
- Expert-level knowledge of:
- BGP, OSPF, RIP
- TCP/IP design, subnetting, and troubleshooting
- Layer 2 technologies (Spanning Tree, VLANs, 802.1Q)
- Experience with ACI-based architectures
- QoS configuration and optimization
Network & Security Platforms
- Experience with:
- F5
- Infoblox
- ASA / Firepower
- Palo Alto
- Check Point
- Illumio
- Knowledge of:
- Zero Trust architectures
- Private Access
- SASE frameworks
- Strong expertise in VPN, SSL, and remote access technologies
- SBC device configuration and troubleshooting
SD-WAN / MPLS
- Hands-on experience with:
- Viptela
- VeloCloud
- Versa
- FortiGate
- SilverPeak
- Design and support of enterprise MPLS and hybrid WAN solutions
Voice & Collaboration (Preferred / Optional)
- CUCM, Contact Center platforms
- Genesys, Avaya OneCloud, Twilio
- SIP protocol expertise
- SBC technologies (Ribbon, Oracle, CUBE)
- MS Teams Direct Routing
- E911 integrations (Intrado ERS/EGW, RedSky)
Automation & Scripting
- Python scripting for network automation and operational efficiency
Experience Requirements
- 15+ years total IT experience
- 10+ years in network consulting roles
- 10+ years in large global enterprise environments
- Cross-functional industry experience
- CCIE-level knowledge or equivalent practical experience
Leadership & Professional Skills
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Lead architecture discussions and solution design sessions
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with business units and application teams
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Strong understanding of system interdependencies and enterprise architecture
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
