Description:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect / Senior Integration Engineer to design, build, and support large-scale enterprise integrations. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with IBM Integration technologies, strong API and microservices design skills, and experience delivering cloud-native integration solutions across modern platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Development
- Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale integrations using IBM IIB / ACE and IBM MQ.
- Build and maintain message flows, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Develop ESQL and Java Compute nodes for transformation and orchestration logic.
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and performance tuning mechanisms.
API Design & Management
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using JSON standards.
- Manage API lifecycle, including versioning and backward compatibility.
- Define and maintain OpenAPI / Swagger specifications.
- Ensure secure API communication using industry best practices.
Microservices & Application Development
- Design and build Java microservices using Spring Boot.
- Apply modern architectural patterns for scalability and maintainability.
- Integrate microservices with messaging and event-driven systems.
Database & Data Management
- Work with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, and basic sharding concepts.
- Apply strong RDBMS fundamentals for relational data integration.
- Ensure efficient data access and storage strategies.
Cloud & DevOps
- Design and implement cloud-native integration solutions on Azure and GCP.
- Leverage PaaS services, containers, and orchestration platforms such as AKS and GKE.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.
- Apply DevOps best practices for integration delivery and operations.
Security, Protocols & Patterns
- Implement secure communication using HTTPS, TLS, JWT, and JWKS.
- Work with multiple data formats including JSON, XML, and SOAP.
- Apply enterprise integration patterns, including:
- Synchronous and asynchronous communication
- Publish–Subscribe
- Saga and compensation patterns
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–15 years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in integration architecture and engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM IIB / ACE, IBM MQ, ESQL, and Java Compute.
- Expertise in REST API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API lifecycle management.
- Experience developing Java microservices using Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of MongoDB and RDBMS concepts.
- Cloud-native design experience on Azure and GCP.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and analytical skills.
