Location: Chicago, IL – 100% Onsite (5 Days per Week)

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Trading Support Analyst to provide production support for brokerage trading applications within a fast paced trading environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, supporting trading operations, and ensuring system stability across trading platforms. This role requires strong experience with Azure cloud platforms, SQL databases, and scripting for automation in financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Application Support
   Provide day to day production support for brokerage trading applications operating in a high pressure trading environment.
2. Incident Management
   Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents while escalating issues when necessary to appropriate technical teams.
3. Business and Technical Collaboration
   Work closely with business users to resolve application issues while ensuring compliance with IT controls and operational procedures.
4. Root Cause Analysis
   Investigate recurring production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.
5. Operational Reporting
   Produce operational metrics, application health reports, and status updates for stakeholders and management.
6. Audit and Compliance Support
   Assist with audit requirements and ensure operational processes meet regulatory and compliance standards.
7. Disaster Recovery Preparedness
   Maintain disaster recovery documentation and participate in DR testing exercises.
8. Cross Functional Coordination
   Collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, compliance teams, audit teams, and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
9. On Call Support
   Participate in on call rotations including evenings and weekends to manage critical production incidents.

Required Skills

1. 5+ years of experience working in financial services or capital markets environments.
2. 2 to 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure platforms and cloud infrastructure.
3. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and development tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
4. Advanced SQL expertise including experience with databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Sybase.
5. Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
6. Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure components and system architecture.
7. Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to operate independently within trading environments.
8. Experience supporting trade finance or trading applications is highly desirable.

Experience Required

1. Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in application support, trading support, or production support roles within financial services or capital markets environments.
