Business Analyst – Commercial & Specialty Insurance
Manhattan, New York City
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a leading insurance portfolio spanning Commercial P&C, Specialty Insurance. This role will drive requirements, streamline processes, and enable digital transformation across diverse insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders across Specialty, Commercial (and possibly Crop Insurance) lines
- Gather and document business & functional requirements
- Map as-is / to-be processes across underwriting, claims, and policy administration
- Support digital, automation, and AI-led transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with IT teams in Agile delivery (user stories, UAT, backlog management)
Must-Have Skills
- 6–10 years of experience in Commercial / Specialty Insurance
Knowledge of:
- Commercial lines (GL, Property, Auto, Workers Comp, Umbrella)
- Specialty lines (D&O, E&O, Cyber, Liability)
- Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Familiarity with platforms like Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar
- Strong communication and analytical skills
