Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Appian Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing Appian solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Appian architecture, integrations, and development best practices, along with leadership capabilities to guide development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, design, and document high-level Appian architecture solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and security
- Lead development efforts and guide teams on Appian best practices including SAIL, process modeling, and data modeling
- Design and implement integrations with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases, enterprise applications)
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and governance
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform performance tuning and optimization using Appian Health Check, logs, and monitoring tools
- Mentor and support development teams, ensuring delivery quality and timelines
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Appian deployments
- Work within Agile methodologies for iterative development and delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 4+ years in Appian development/architecture
- Strong expertise in:
- Appian SAIL
- Process Modeling & Data Modeling
- Records, Reports, Smart Services
- Hands-on experience with:
- Appian integrations (REST APIs, SOAP, Web Services)
- Database integrations
- Experience with:
- Code reviews, performance tuning, and Appian Health Check
- DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of application architecture and design patterns
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian Certified Lead Developer or Senior Developer Certification (highly preferred)
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Prior experience in enterprise-scale Appian implementations
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
