Job Title: Senior Workday HCM Integration Developer

Location: Wilmington, DE

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday HCM Integration Developer with 8–10+ years of expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Workday HCM integrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, and Workday Integration Cloud while coordinating integration projects across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and third-party applications.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, vendors, and global technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Workday HCM integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Integration Cloud.
• Build inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and third-party systems including Payroll, Benefits, Finance, HRIS, and external vendors.
• Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and Java.
• Configure and customize Core Connectors including CCW, PECI, PICOF, Payroll, Benefits, and Financial connectors.
• Create secure integrations using SFTP, PGP Encryption, OAuth 2.0, and AWS services.
• Develop advanced Workday reports using Report Writer, Calculated Fields, RAAS, BIRT, and Prism Analytics.
• Perform integration testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and business stakeholders to gather integration requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Lead integration design discussions, code reviews, deployment planning, and production releases.
• Manage Workday security including Integration System Users (ISU), Domain Security, and Business Process Security.
• Utilize Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Rally, ServiceNow, Postman, and SOAP UI for development and project management.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and enterprise security standards.
• Support Workday upgrades, enhancement projects, and production issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in Workday HCM technical development.
• Strong expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Integration Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Workday Web Services.
• Experience integrating Workday with ADP and other third-party Payroll, Benefits, and HR systems.
• Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and Java.
• Experience with Workday security configuration including ISU, Domain Security, and Business Process Security.
• Experience developing complex Workday reports and calculated fields.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to manage multiple integration projects and coordinate with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday Extend.
• Experience integrating Workday Financials.
• Exposure to AWS cloud services.
• Workday Integration or Studio Certification is a plus.
• Experience leading Workday integration projects in large enterprise environments.
