Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Release Implementation Manager to lead and coordinate production implementation activities for enterprise software and hardware releases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing release implementations while ensuring minimal disruption to production environments. This role requires close collaboration with Program Managers, Project Managers, Engineering teams, Change Management, Operations, and Business stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in Release Management, Production Implementation, Agile/SAFe methodologies, Change Management, and CI/CD deployment processes across complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production implementation activities for software and hardware releases.
• Partner with Program Managers, Project Managers, Software Technical Leads, Business Teams, Vendors, and external stakeholders to define implementation strategies.
• Develop comprehensive implementation plans including:
• Deployment activities
• Resource planning
• Timelines
• Implementation sequencing
• Rollback (Back-out) strategies
• Coordinate release execution while ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Prepare and manage implementation review meetings and deployment execution calls.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Change Management teams to create and manage Change Requests (CRs), approvals, and implementation documentation.
• Work closely with Environment Engineering and Software Engineering teams to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) initiatives.
• Coordinate deployment checkpoints and ensure successful execution of implementation plans.
• Facilitate issue triage during production deployments by engaging Operations Command Center (OCC) and appropriate technical teams.
• Escalate production issues through appropriate management channels when required.
• Provide timely release status updates to Program Managers, Business stakeholders, and IT Leadership.
• Coordinate business checkout activities following deployments.
• Participate in Post Implementation Quality Assessments (PIQA).
• Support warranty releases and production issue resolution following deployments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for Release Management processes and documentation.
• Develop and manage Release Implementation activities using Agile SAFe tools (preferably JIRA).

Required Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of Release Management or Production Implementation experience.
• Experience managing releases within large, complex enterprise IT environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting:
• Web-based applications
• Mainframe applications
• Windows platforms
• UNIX/Linux environments
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Enterprise Change Management processes.
• Knowledge of Release Management best practices.
• Experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar Agile Release Management tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional implementation activities.
• Strong knowledge of deployment planning, rollback planning, and production support.
