QA Engineer – Content Tools (Functional & Automation Testing)
Location: Culver City, CA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join the Content Tools QA Team, supporting enterprise Digital Supply Chain Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Media Content Functional Testing, Automation Testing, Web Applications, API Testing, and Test Automation Frameworks.
This role will focus on validating tools, software, and services used to manage and distribute large-scale digital media content while ensuring the highest quality standards through manual and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases.
- Validate web applications and content management tools.
- Perform:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- Verify end-to-end business workflows and application functionality.
- Support release validation activities.
Automation Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks.
- Build UI automation suites using:
- Playwright
- Selenium
- Improve automation coverage and test reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
API Testing
- Perform REST API testing using:
- Postman
- REST Assured
- Validate:
- HTTP Methods
- Status Codes
- Authentication
- Request/Response Payloads
- Execute API regression and integration testing.
Defect Management
- Investigate, reproduce, and document software defects.
- Prepare detailed bug reports including:
- Reproduction Steps
- Expected Results
- Actual Results
- Logs
- Screenshots
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
Test Planning & Quality Engineering
- Participate in requirements analysis and test planning.
- Define test strategies and quality assurance processes.
- Review requirements for testability.
- Ensure release readiness through comprehensive validation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Software Developers
- Product Managers
- QA Engineers
- Digital Supply Chain Teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of professional QA experience (strictly no more than 10 years).
- Strong experience testing enterprise web applications.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Java and/or Python automation
- Experience performing REST API testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create detailed and reproducible defect reports.
