Job Title: Gen AI Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

Job Summary

The Apple Content Solutions Team is seeking an experienced Generative AI Engineer to design, develop, and maintain AI-powered solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java and Python, hands-on experience with modern AI frameworks, and the ability to integrate LLMs into enterprise applications. Candidates with prior Apple experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven automation solutions using Generative AI technologies.
• Integrate and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) for enterprise applications.
• Develop scalable backend solutions using Java and Python.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve AI automation solutions based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.
• Implement prompt engineering techniques and LLM orchestration strategies to improve AI performance.
• Work with AI agentic frameworks, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and LLM libraries such as Anthropic SDK.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Maven and Jenkins.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes in scalable production environments.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, QA, DevOps, UX, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Create clear technical documentation and effectively communicate complex technical concepts.

Required Skills

• Strong foundation in Java and Python with extensive hands-on development experience.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI application development.
• Experience with AI agentic frameworks, MCP, and LLM libraries (e.g., Anthropic SDK).
• Strong knowledge of:
• Prompt Engineering
• LLM Orchestration
• Evaluation Frameworks
• Responsible AI Deployment Practices
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working at Apple is a strong advantage.
• Experience building enterprise-scale AI applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
