Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PHP WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain business websites and enterprise WordPress platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in custom WordPress theme development, PHP web applications, MySQL databases, and cloud/server environments (Azure/AWS). This role requires onsite presence in Hamilton Township, NJ, including face-to-face interviews.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain business websites based on functional requirements.
• Independently build and manage custom WordPress themes for enterprise and brand websites (.com platforms).
• Perform end-to-end theme development including UI enhancements, feature implementation, and performance optimization.
• Provide ongoing production support, including regular content updates, patching, and security enhancements.
• Lead development of custom WordPress themes and core functionalities for internal platforms such as connectivity hubs or enterprise portals.
• Conduct requirement analysis and translate business needs into scalable WordPress solutions.
• Customize and enhance WordPress themes and plugins provided by third-party vendors.
• Identify and fix functional bugs and performance bottlenecks in WordPress applications.
• Refactor legacy or poorly structured PHP code to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure seamless integration of WordPress applications with dependent internal and external systems.
• Optimize website performance, caching strategies, and database queries.
• Maintain deployment processes across server environments (Azure, AWS, XAMPP).
• Collaborate with design, marketing, and business stakeholders to implement UI/UX improvements.
• Ensure website security compliance, vulnerability patching, and backup strategies.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6–8 years of experience in PHP Web Application Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and MySQL.
• Extensive experience in WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Experience working with server environments including Azure, AWS, and XAMPP.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies:
• JavaScript
• HTML5
• CSS3
• jQuery
• Experience troubleshooting and stabilizing third-party plugins and themes.
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple development tasks.
