Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner with strong expertise in Business Intelligence, Azure Data Engineering, and Financial Reporting Analytics to lead enterprise data and digital transformation initiatives within the insurance and finance domain.

The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, analytics teams, engineering teams, and external partners to deliver scalable, customer-centric, and data-driven solutions. This role requires hands-on experience with Agile product ownership, Power BI, Azure data platforms, Tableau, and enterprise reporting solutions.

The candidate should possess strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and roadmap execution capabilities while driving modernization initiatives across cloud, reporting, integration, and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, compliance requirements, and customer impact.
• Drive end-to-end product delivery using Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, business SMEs, developers, QA teams, and third-party vendors.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and Tableau.
• Create advanced Power BI data models using:
• DAX
• Power Query (M)
• Star Schema modeling
• Performance optimization techniques
• Develop executive-level finance reporting and operational analytics solutions.
• Implement dashboard sharing, security, governance, and embedding strategies.

Azure Data Engineering

• Build and support scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using:
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on cloud modernization and enterprise data initiatives.
• Support Azure integration services and enterprise data governance standards.

Insurance & Financial Domain Alignment

• Support initiatives across:
• Life Insurance
• Policy administration
• Underwriting
• Claims and servicing platforms
• Work closely with insurance business processes and policy lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Track KPIs, risks, dependencies, and product delivery metrics.
• Provide executive-level status reporting and roadmap updates.
• Ensure delivery quality, timelines, governance, and compliance adherence.

Required Skills

Product Ownership & Agile

• Strong experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager in Agile environments.
• Expertise with:
• JIRA
• Confluence
• Azure DevOps
• Scrum / SAFe methodologies
• Experience managing enterprise product roadmaps and backlog prioritization.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Advanced expertise in:
• Power BI
• DAX
• Power Query (M)
• Data Modeling / Star Schema
• Performance Optimization
• Strong Tableau dashboard development and optimization experience.
• Advanced SQL development and data analytics expertise.
• Experience with finance reporting and analytics solutions.

Azure Data Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Experience building enterprise ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud data transformation and validation processes.

Preferred Skills

• SSAS Tabular / Azure Analysis Services
