Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday UX Consultant with strong expertise in Human-Centered Design, Workday Core HR, Onboarding, and Employee Experience Transformation. This role will lead the redesign and optimization of the end-to-end onboarding journey across the Workday ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will combine deep Workday platform knowledge, journey-led experience design, and cross-functional collaboration to transform onboarding from fragmented processes into a seamless, intuitive, and engaging employee experience.
This is not a traditional UI/UX designer role. It is a strategic, product-oriented experience transformation role focused on improving employee journeys within the capabilities of Workday and integrated HR systems.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Journey Ownership
- Lead redesign initiatives for the complete onboarding lifecycle:
- Offer Acceptance
- Pre-Boarding
- Day 1 Experience
- First 90 Days
- Map current-state and future-state employee onboarding journeys
- Identify key moments that matter and define target experience outcomes
- Improve experiences for:
- Employees
- Hiring Managers
- HR Operations Teams
Workday Experience Design
- Translate human-centered design concepts into Workday-enabled solutions
- Configure and optimize:
- Workday Onboarding Frameworks
- Business Processes
- Tasks & Notifications
- Workflow Automation
- Ensure solutions are scalable, practical, and aligned with Workday platform capabilities
- Execute Studio X-style UX engagements across Workday applications
Journey Mapping & Process Simplification
- Identify and resolve onboarding pain points:
- Manual processes
- Excessive approvals and handoffs
- Poor communication and clarity
- Manager inefficiencies
- Drive automation-first and self-service-first solutions
- Simplify workflows and eliminate operational friction
Cross-Functional Collaboration
