Position – Oracle Exadata Architect

Duration – 6 months

Location – Irvine, CA - onsite

 

 

Job Description:

 

• Strategic Planning Creating security blueprints and roadmaps for cloud adoption that align with business goals.
• Security Design Implementation Designing secure| scalable| and compliant cloud architectures. Policy Definition Establishing security policies| standards| and guidelines for public| private| and hybrid clouds.
• Risk Management Compliance Assessing cloud environments for vulnerabilities| managing risk| and ensuring compliance with regulations. Technical Controls Configuring network security| identity and access management (IAM)| and encryption strategies.
• Collaboration Guidance Working with IT and development teams to embed security into applications (DevSecOps)

 

Essential Skills:

 

• 10+ years of hands on experience with Oracle Database administration.
• 5+ years of dedicated experience with Oracle Exadata engineering or architecture.
• Strong understanding of RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, GoldenGate
• Exadata storage internals, Smart Scan, HCC
• Exadata patching and lifecycle management
• 3–5 years of practical experience with AWS cloud:
• RDS Oracle, EC2 Oracle, DMS, S3, KMS, CloudWatch, IAM
• AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)
• Strong knowledge of Linux (OL, RHEL), Ansible/Shell scripting.
• Experience architecting HA/DR solutions across on prem and AWS.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Oracle Certified Master / OCI Architect / AWS Solutions Architect certifications.
• Experience with Exadata Cloud@Customer or Exadata on OCI.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience in BFSI or other highly regulated industries.
• Modernization experience (Aurora PostgreSQL, microservices, data mesh, etc.).
