Description:

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Lead Developer with deep expertise in Apigee Edge, Apigee Hybrid, API Management, Cloud Deployments, and Enterprise API Modernization. The ideal candidate will lead the migration of API platforms from Apigee Edge to Apigee Hybrid, define migration strategies, and provide technical leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Extensive experience in API Management and API Gateway technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge and Apigee Hybrid.
• Proven experience leading Apigee migration and modernization projects.
• Experience with cloud-native API platform deployments.

API Platform Development

• Design, develop, and deploy API proxies and shared flows.
• Implement API management best practices.
• Configure security, traffic management, and governance policies.
• Support API lifecycle management processes.

Cloud Deployment & Architecture

• Deploy and manage Apigee Hybrid environments.
• Support cloud-native API platform implementations.
• Ensure scalability, availability, and reliability of API infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams.

Security & Governance

• Implement enterprise API security standards.
• Configure OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and access control policies.
• Ensure compliance with API governance frameworks.
• Conduct API security reviews and assessments.

Performance & Optimization

• Monitor API performance and usage analytics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform and API-related issues.
• Optimize API throughput, latency, and reliability.
• Support production deployments and incident management.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps, and business teams.
• Drive best practices for API design and implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps automation.
• Exposure to service mesh and microservices architectures.
• Apigee certifications are highly preferred.
