Role: (Technical Product Owner – Spec-driven + AI)
Location: Manhattan, NY
Responsibilities:
- Define clear, structured specifications – Create precise, testable, and AI-consumable requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases).
- Requirement Gathering – Able to gather business requirements and translate them into clear, detailed specifications for development teams.
- Experience in prompt engineering, with understanding of mock-up fields and specification-driven development.
- Experience working across ARTs and managing multiple teams.
- Knowledge of data and system pipelines, with the ability to interpret and work within them.
- Enable AI-driven development – Shape requirements so tools like GitHub Copilot and automation frameworks can effectively generate code and tests.
- Align stakeholders – Bridge business, engineering, and QE teams to ensure shared understanding of specifications and outcomes.
- Drive test-first approach – Ensure specifications directly translate into automated test scenarios (e.g., Playwright).
- Support standardization efforts – Contribute to building reusable frameworks, templates, and governance for cross-team adoption.
Skillsets
- Technical understanding – Knowledge of APIs, SDLC, automation frameworks, and ability to interpret code and system design.
- Specification writing expertise – Ability to create detailed, unambiguous, and testable requirements (e.g., structured formats).
- AI literacy – Understanding of AI tools (e.g., Copilot), prompt engineering basics, and validating AI-generated outputs.
- Quality engineering mindset – Strong focus on edge cases, negative scenarios, and automation-first thinking.
- Communication & analytical skills – Ability to break down complex problems and clearly translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management (excellent soft skills).
