Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect to lead large-scale legacy modernization and enterprise data migration initiatives.
This role requires deep expertise across application architecture, data strategy, AWS cloud platforms, and integration technologies (Java/TIBCO), with proven experience delivering TB-scale data migrations in regulated environments.
The ideal candidate will define the target-state architecture, drive modernization roadmaps, and lead execution across cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities
Architecture & Modernization Roadmap
· Define target-state architecture across:
o Applications
o Data
o Integration
o Security
o Operations
· Establish domain boundaries, service decomposition, and cloud reference patterns.
· Develop modernization roadmap including:
o Iterative cutovers
o Strangler Fig patterns
o Co-existence strategies
o Rollback planning
· Define NFRs and SLAs/SLOs (availability, performance, resilience, cost).
Data Strategy & Migration Leadership
· Lead data discovery, profiling, and rationalization.
· Design canonical data models, golden records, de-duplication, and survivorship rules.
· Architect large-scale data migration waves (bulk loads + CDC).
· Ensure schema mapping, reconciliation, and high-fidelity validation.
· Define data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness).
· Implement archival, retention, and PII masking/tokenization strategies.
· Guide ETL/ELT, CDC, MDM, and data lineage tooling selection.
Application Re-Write & Platform Modernization
· Lead re-platforming of legacy systems (Java/TIBCO stack).
· Drive microservices decomposition and integration modernization.
· Translate architecture into actionable epics and technical stories.
· Conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling sessions.
Cloud, Security & Compliance
· Lead AWS landing zone design including:
o Networking
o IAM
o Secrets management
o KMS
o Backup & DR
o Observability
o Cost governance
· Ensure encryption, least-privilege access, and audit compliance.
· Support regulatory requirements (BFSI preferred).
Execution Leadership
· Mentor engineers and lead design clinics.
· Make technical trade-offs visible to stakeholders.
· Build a culture of reliability, observability, and automation.
· Resolve technical debt across modernization streams.

Required Qualifications
· 8–12+ years in software engineering/architecture
· 3–5+ years leading modernization programs
· Proven delivery of enterprise data migrations
· Strong AWS architecture experience
· Strong security and compliance knowledge
Preferred
· Financial services / BFSI experience
· Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect)
· TOGAF, CKA/CKAD
· Performance engineering & cost optimization
