Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP PP/DS Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of S/4HANA Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) solutions. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in discrete manufacturing, with strong preference for automotive manufacturing experience.
The ideal candidate will be a customer-facing, independent performer who can lead end-to-end PP/DS implementations, translate complex business needs into scalable SAP solutions, and coordinate effectively with onshore and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Implementation
· Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP ePP/DS within S/4HANA
· Architect and configure advanced Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling solutions
· Act as the primary solution owner for SAP PP/DS engagements
· Present solution designs and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders
SAP PP/DS Functional Expertise
· Configure and support advanced PP/DS capabilities, including:
o Interactive Production Planning
o Detailed Scheduling & Sequencing
o Pegging
o Production Planning Table
o Planning Board
o Constraint-Based Planning
o Model Mix Planning
o Multi-Level Scheduling
· Implement advanced planning features:
o Cross-Location Planning
o Automated Planning Responses
o Multi-Level Constraint-Based Plans
o Sub-Daily Buckets & Telescopic Time Buckets
o Time-Dependent Safety Stock
Supply Chain & Manufacturing Integration
· Provide deep process expertise across:
o Demand & Supply Planning
o Capacity Planning
o Distribution Planning
o Service Planning
· Support end-to-end supply chain processes, including:
o Procurement
o Manufacturing
o Logistics
o Inventory Management
· Apply industry best practices for:
o Automotive Manufacturing
o Repetitive / Discrete Manufacturing
Leadership & Collaboration
· Lead and coordinate onshore/offshore delivery models
· Translate customer requirements into functional designs and cascade execution to offshore teams
· Maintain strong collaboration with peers, stakeholders, and delivery teams
· Ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with business objectives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
· 10+ years of experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP/DS)
· Proven experience implementing SAP ePP/DS in Automotive or Discrete Manufacturing
· Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to lead SAP PP/DS implementations independently
· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· SAP PP/DS architecture and configuration
· Advanced scheduling, sequencing, and constraint-based planning
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
