Role: GCP Cloud SRE (Site Reliability Engineer)

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite Only)

Duration: 12+ Months

Interview Mode: In-Person Mandatory

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong GCP Cloud SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) to support cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), automation, and system reliability, along with a strong foundation in programming and cloud-native technologies.

• Ensure software meets:

• Enhance and maintain existing application features
• Troubleshoot and resolve application failures during development and testing
• Develop and maintain:
• High-level and component-level design documentation
• Contribute to full application lifecycle:

• Maintenance
• Release management
• Critical bug fixes
• Ensure high-quality, error-free delivery of software solutions
• Participate in Agile development processes
• Leverage AI tools for development and testing where applicable

• Strong understanding of:

• Large-scale distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with:
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (GCE, GKE)
• Linux-based systems
• Programming / scripting experience in:
• Python
• Java
• Bash
• Experience with:
• Docker
• Virtual Machines
• Kubernetes
• Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Terraform
• Python-based automation
• Foundational knowledge of:
• Networking (HTTP, TCP/IP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curious mindset with a passion for technology

Good to Have

• Experience with:
• CI/CD tools (Bamboo, JIRA, Git)
• Workload automation tools (UC4 / Automic)
• Experience in:
• CI/CD pipeline automation

Experience Required

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in Cloud / SRE / DevOps roles
