Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP FS-RI Consultant (Reinsurance Management) with strong functional expertise in SAP FS-RI and deep insurance/reinsurance domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting reinsurance business processes, SAP integrations, accounting flows, and production support in enterprise environments.

Must Have Skills

• 6+ years of overall SAP experience with 3+ years of hands-on SAP FS-RI (Reinsurance) experience
• Strong expertise in SAP FS-RI configuration, implementation, and support
• Deep reinsurance domain knowledge, including:
  • Treaty Reinsurance
  • Facultative Reinsurance
  • Proportional & Non-Proportional Reinsurance
  • Ceded & Assumed Reinsurance
• Experience with:
  • Treaty / Contract Setup
  • Premium Calculation
  • Estimations
  • Claims Processing
  • Recoveries
  • Commissions
  • Settlements
  • UPR (Unearned Premium Reserve)
  • Reinstatement Premiums
• Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting principles
• Experience supporting:
  • Month-End Close
  • Quarter-End Close
  • Year-End Financial Close
• SAP integration experience with:
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR)
  • SAP FS-CD
• Ability to analyze:
  • Posting logic
  • Document flow
  • Reconciliation issues
  • Data discrepancies
• Experience supporting:
  • SIT
  • UAT
  • Production support / defect resolution
• Experience preparing:
  • Functional Specifications
  • Configuration Documentation
  • Test Scenarios
• Exposure to SAP and non-SAP interfaces
• Basic ABAP debugging / log analysis knowledge
• Insurance / Reinsurance industry experience is mandatory

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements related to reinsurance operations and translate them into SAP FS-RI functional solutions
• Configure and support SAP FS-RI for treaty and facultative reinsurance models
• Set up and maintain reinsurance contracts, treaties, sections, and participation structures
• Support premium processing, estimations, claims, recoveries, commissions, and settlements
• Ensure accurate accounting integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance
• Manage UPR, reinstatement premiums, and other reinsurance accounting activities
• Support financial close cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Business, and IT teams
• Coordinate integrations with SAP FS-CD, SAP FI, and external systems
• Prepare documentation for configurations, functional design, and testing
• Support SIT, UAT, production issues, and release management activities
• Resolve posting failures, reconciliation mismatches, and transactional data issues
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in transport management, release planning, and change management
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to onshore/offshore teams
