Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow platform development, Vulnerability Response (VR) implementation, CMDB integration, security automation, and enterprise vulnerability management workflows.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience configuring and customizing the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response module, integrating external vulnerability scanning tools, automating remediation workflows, and building security-focused dashboards and analytics.
This is a highly technical hands-on development role requiring expertise in ServiceNow security operations, workflow automation, and enterprise vulnerability lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Development
- Configure, customize, and enhance the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module.
- Support enterprise vulnerability management lifecycle including:
- Vulnerability identification
- Correlation
- Prioritization
- Assignment
- Remediation tracking
- Exception management
- Reporting
Workflow & Automation Engineering
Design and develop:
- Business Rules
- Client Scripts
- Flow Designer automations
- UI policies
- Scheduled jobs
- Workflow orchestration
Automation use cases include:
- Vulnerability assignment
- Remediation routing
- Exception approvals
- SLA tracking
- Automated notifications
Vulnerability Scanner Integration
Integrate ServiceNow VR with external vulnerability management platforms such as:
- Qualys
- Tenable
- Rapid7
- Prisma Cloud
- Other enterprise scanning tools
Responsibilities:
- Automated vulnerability ingestion
- Correlation logic
- Scanner data normalization
- Integration troubleshooting
CMDB & Discovery Integration
- Integrate VR with:
- ServiceNow CMDB
- Discovery
- Asset relationships
- Configuration item correlation
- Ensure accurate vulnerability-to-asset mapping.
MID Server / Data Integration
Configure and support:
- MID Servers
- Data Sources
- API connections
- Import sets
- Data ingestion pipelines
Responsibilities:
- Connectivity configuration
- Secure integrations
- Data synchronization
- Troubleshooting ingestion failures
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain:
- Custom dashboards
- Reports
- Performance Analytics indicators
- Vulnerability trend metrics

API & Platform Development
Hands-on development using:

- ServiceNow scripting frameworks
Security Operations Support
- Support vulnerability lifecycle governance.
- Align remediation workflows with enterprise security operations processes.
- Collaborate with security teams for vulnerability triage and closure management.
