Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Support Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud support, application troubleshooting, incident management, and production support operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, application support, monitoring, and operational excellence, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in:

  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in cloud environments
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder communication skills

Must Have Technical Skills

AWS Cloud Support

Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Amazon EC2
  • Amazon S3
  • AWS IAM
  • AWS CloudWatch
  • AWS Monitoring & Alerting
  • Incident investigation and resolution
  • Cloud infrastructure troubleshooting

Application & Production Support

Experience with:

  • Application monitoring
  • Root cause analysis
  • Incident management
  • Problem management
  • Production support processes
  • Service restoration
  • Escalation management
  • Operational support

Programming / Data Technologies

Working experience with:

  • Python
  • PySpark
  • Data processing workflows
  • Automation scripting
  • Troubleshooting data pipelines

Infrastructure & Networking

Strong understanding of:

  • Operating Systems (Linux/Windows)
  • Networking fundamentals
  • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • Application connectivity troubleshooting
  • Infrastructure monitoring

Monitoring & Operations

Experience with:

  • System monitoring tools
  • Log analysis
  • Performance monitoring
  • Alert management
  • Operational dashboards
  • Availability management

ITSM / Incident Management

Experience with:

  • Ticketing systems
  • Incident management processes
  • Escalation handling
  • SLA management
  • Problem management
  • Change management support

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 support for cloud-based and enterprise applications
  • Monitor AWS infrastructure and application health
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents and service disruptions
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Manage support tickets and ensure SLA compliance
  • Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and user-related issues
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams
  • Support monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness activities
  • Develop automation scripts using Python where applicable
  • Document support procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge articles
  • Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications preferred
  • Experience supporting large-scale cloud environments
  • Exposure to big data platforms and PySpark environments
  • Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
