Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst (Finance Area) with strong experience in banking and financial services. The ideal candidate will work closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Technology teams to support financial analysis, regulatory reporting, system optimization, and data-driven decision-making within a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Perform financial analysis related to banking products, including:
- Deposits
- Loans
- Credit portfolios
- Treasury operations
- Support Finance and Risk teams in preparing regulatory reports and compliance deliverables, including:
- Call Reports
- CCAR
- ALM
- Basel III metrics
- Ensure financial processes comply with:
- Regulatory standards
- Internal audit guidelines
- Governance requirements
- Partner with Compliance teams to maintain accurate process documentation
Systems & Data Management
- Collaborate with Technology teams to optimize financial systems such as:
- FIS
- Fiserv
- Temenos
- ERP platforms
- Data warehouses
- Develop and enhance reporting using:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Qlik
- Write and refine SQL queries for:
- Financial reconciliations
- Loan analytics
- Profitability reporting
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data across systems and reporting layers
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Gather and document business requirements from:
- Treasury
- Risk Management
- Loan Operations
- Accounting teams
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and business solutions
- Facilitate meetings and communicate findings through executive-level presentations
- Act as a liaison between business teams and IT throughout:
- Project planning
- Testing
- Deployment activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Information Systems
- Related field
- 2–5 years of experience as:
- Business Analyst
- Financial Analyst
within banking or financial services environments - Strong understanding of:
- Banking operations
- Loans and deposits
- Treasury functions
- GL accounting
- Financial controls
- Proficiency with:
- Excel
- BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
- Experience working with:
- Financial systems
- Core banking platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- SQL
- Data analytics tools/languages
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as:
- Basel III
- CECL
- FFIEC
- ALM
- Familiarity with:
- Data governance
- Financial data modeling
- Regulated financial environments
- Experience supporting:
- Digital banking initiatives
- Core system upgrades
- Finance transformation programs
