Description:
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage & Cognos Consultant with strong expertise in IBM Cognos Architecture, Framework Manager, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, and PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting enterprise data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions while supporting modernization initiatives involving cloud and big data technologies.
Candidates must be local to Boston for onsite client evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Design and architect enterprise data integration and reporting solutions using:
- IBM Cognos
- Framework Manager
- IBM InfoSphere DataStage
- Define scalable data architecture and reporting frameworks aligned with business requirements
- Lead solution design, technical architecture reviews, and implementation planning
Data Engineering & Integration
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using IBM DataStage
- Design and maintain data integration pipelines across enterprise systems
- Build and optimize data transformation logic using PL/SQL
- Support data modeling, reconciliation, and enterprise reporting requirements
Reporting & Analytics
- Architect and support reporting solutions using:
- IBM Cognos Analytics
- Framework Manager semantic models
- Work with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable technical solutions
Modernization & Cloud Enablement
- Support modernization initiatives involving:
- Databricks
- Apache Spark / Scala
- AWS cloud platforms
- Collaborate on migration or hybrid architecture strategies where required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture / BI / ETL engineering

Strong Technical Expertise In
