Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Tech Lead – Java & AWS to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS cloud technologies, along with strong leadership skills to drive engineering excellence, scalability, and automation.
This role requires hands-on technical leadership, ownership of application architecture, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Lead design and architecture of applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns
- Drive application modernization, scalability, and performance improvements
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for automation and enterprise applications
2. Application Development & Support
- Oversee development, maintenance, and production support of applications
- Implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Ensure seamless integration across distributed systems using REST APIs
3. Cloud & AWS Engineering
- Design and implement solutions using
AWS services:
EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch - Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation templates (CFT)
- Build serverless applications and data pipelines using AWS Lambda
- Develop APIs using AWS SDKs for cloud resource interaction
4. DevOps & CI/CD
- Implement and manage CI/CD
pipelines using tools like:
Jenkins, Maven, Git, SVN, Bitbucket, Bamboo - Automate build, test, and deployment processes
- Improve release efficiency and reduce manual intervention
5. Data Processing & Integration
- Develop efficient data processing using Java parallel streams and advanced filtering techniques
- Integrate applications using RESTful APIs and messaging systems
- Work with SQL databases for data management and optimization
6. Agile & Team Management
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and task prioritization
- Mentor and guide developers through code reviews and technical problem-solving
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and infrastructure teams
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
7. Monitoring & Reliability
- Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms
- Use tools like CloudWatch to track system performance
- Reduce failures and improve system uptime through proactive measures
Required Skills (Must Have)
- Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Advanced Java, J2EE
- Expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
- Strong experience with REST API design and development
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services:
- EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design
- Experience with JUnit, Cucumber for testing
- Experience integrating distributed systems and APIs
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with Angular 13+ (Frontend exposure)
- Knowledge of cloud automation and infrastructure as code
- Experience with high-volume, enterprise-scale applications
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems
