Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced JIRA Architect to lead the architecture, design, and execution of Jira Cloud migration in a complex enterprise environment. This role will own the end-to-end Jira platform strategy, including governance, integrations, security, and performance, ensuring a scalable and compliant Atlassian Cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Strategy

• Define Jira Cloud architecture and target-state design
• Establish standards for:
  • Workflows, schemes, permissions, roles
  • Custom fields, issue types, notifications
• Implement platform governance and operating model
• Manage configuration standards and change control processes

---

Cloud Migration (Enterprise Environment)

• Lead Jira Server/Data Center to Jira Cloud migration
• Perform:
  • Discovery and assessment
  • Migration readiness analysis (apps, customizations, data quality)
• Define migration strategies for:
  • Multi-instance environments
  • Large datasets
  • Highly customized setups
• Manage:
  • Cutover planning
  • Rollback strategies
  • Post-migration validation

Integrations & Automation

• Architect integrations with:
  • CI/CD tools, ITSM platforms, identity providers, monitoring tools, BI/reporting systems
• Design and implement:
  • Jira Automation rules
  • API-based integrations and webhooks
• Ensure maintainability and scalability of automation frameworks

---

Security, Compliance & Identity

• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and permissions
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Data residency, audit logging, and retention policies
• Support SSO integrations (SAML / SCIM) and identity lifecycle management

---

Performance & Operations

• Ensure platform scalability, performance, and reliability
• Define:
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Incident response and support processes
• Lead:
  • Platform upgrades
  • App lifecycle management
  • Vendor coordination

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on experience as:
  • Jira Architect / Jira Platform Lead
• Proven expertise in:
  • Jira Cloud migration (enterprise-scale environments)
• Deep knowledge of:
  • Jira configuration architecture:
    • Workflows, schemes, permissions, roles
    • Screens, fields, issue security, notifications
• Experience with:
  • Atlassian administration and governance
  • Integration patterns, APIs, and automation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Technical Skills:

• Jira Cloud / Atlassian Suite
• Cloud Service Management
• API Integrations / Webhooks
• Automation & Governance Frameworks
• SSO (SAML / SCIM)
