Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform, Big Data technologies, and GoLang development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building scalable data pipelines, working with cloud-native architectures, and implementing secure, high-performance data solutions.
This role requires strong experience in data engineering, cloud networking, API integrations, and infrastructure automation, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on GCP
- Work with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark and Airflow for data processing and orchestration
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability
2. GCP Cloud Engineering
- Build and manage data solutions using GCP services (GKE, Big Data ecosystem, APIs)
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Implement secure and scalable cloud-native architectures
3. GoLang & API Development
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using GoLang
- Integrate systems using RESTful APIs and third-party services
- Contribute to architectural design involving ODL and API integrations
4. Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Automate cloud deployments and environment provisioning
- Ensure consistency and scalability across cloud environments
5. CI/CD & DevOps
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes
- Support DevOps practices for faster and reliable releases
6. Cloud Networking & Security
- Design and implement cloud networking solutions, including:
- IAM roles and access control
- Network security and policies
- Third-party connectivity
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and standards
7. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, and business stakeholders
- Provide clear communication and technical documentation
- Participate in design discussions and solution planning
Required Skills (Must Have)
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering on GCP
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, Big Data tools, APIs)
- Experience with GoLang development and API integrations
- Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow, Spark, ETL, Big Data processing
- Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security foundations
- Experience with third-party system integrations
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with ODL (OpenDaylight) architecture
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Exposure to high-scale distributed data systems
